Covid-19 disruptions, issues with Virat Kohli, influencing the selection committee, BCCI President Sourav Ganguly has constantly faced criticism in all his 26 months as the head of the Indian cricket body. However, the former captain feels all the speculations against him are baseless.

In an interview with PTI, Ganguly who denied allegations of influencing the selectors reminded his critics that before becoming the BCCI head, he was a celebrated cricketer who played 424 matches out of which 113 were Tests. I don't need to answer anything to anyone, Ganguly said.

Quashing the rumors of a reported issue with BCCI secretary Jay Shah, the 49-year-old whose term as the head will come to an end later this year said that he shares a great relationship with not only shah but Arun Dhumal and Jayesh George as well who are currently serving BCCI as the Treasurer and joint secretary respectively.
