Cricketer Mayank Agarwal hospitalised in Agartala after flight incident, out of danger: Reports

Mayank Agarwal, the captain of Karnataka's cricket team, experienced a medical emergency on January 30, leading to his hospitalization in Agartala. The incident occurred while Agarwal was on an airplane that was supposed to take him and his teammates from Agartala to Surat, where Karnataka are scheduled to compete against Railways in the upcoming Ranji Trophy 2023-24 match, set to commence on February 2.

On the flight, operated by Indigo, Agarwal reported a sudden burning sensation in his mouth, which arose after consuming a beverage from a bottle. The discomfort prompted immediate action, resulting in Agarwal being deboarded from the plane and swiftly admitted to the ILS Hospital in Agartala for medical attention.

Fortunately, reports have confirmed that Agarwal is currently out of danger, alleviating concerns about his health following the unexpected incident. The nature of the beverage that caused the burning sensation and the specific details of Agarwal's condition have not been disclosed.

This unexpected health scare for Agarwal comes at a crucial time as Karnataka prepares for their Ranji Trophy match. While Agarwal recuperates, he will miss the next Ranji game in Surat. The rest of the team, however, are on their way to Gujarat.
