BCCI planning massive upgrade at stadiums ahead of ODI World Cup

The BCCI is planning a major renovation of at least five major stadiums in India ahead of the ODI World Cup in October-November.

During the India-Australia Test series in February-March, fans had vented their ire over the lack of clean toilets at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi.

According to PTI, Delhi along with Hyderabad, Kolkata, Mohali and Mumbai, are all set to undergo a massive revamp.

In fact, the Wankhede in Mumbai had undergone renovation before the India-Australia ODIs last month after a fan complained of poor sanitary conditions at the famous stadium.

And while twelve venues have been shortlisted to host the ODI World Cup matches, these five stadiums will be renovated first at a projected cost that will run into hundreds of crores.
