Australian legend Shane Warne's body flown to Melbourne in a private jet

Six days after the death of the Australian legend Shane Warne in Thailand, his body returned home to Melbourne in a private jet on Thursday. The ace leg-spinner died on 4th March at the age of 52 due to natural causes as mentioned in his autopsy report. Warne's coffin covered with the national flag had departed from Bangkok on a chartered Dassault Falcon 7X jet. The coffin landed at the Essendon North airport in Melbourne after an 8-hour long flight.

His family is reportedly organising a private memorial. A full state honour will also be given to the legendary cricketer who was loved by the cricket fans across the globe at the Melbourne Cricket Ground on March 30th.

Warne who made his Test debut in 1992 is regarded as one of the Greatest to have played the game. He took his 700th wicket at his home ground in Melbourne where fans have been paying tribute at Warne's statue outside the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG). The Great Southern Stand of the MCG will also be renamed after him.
