Put into bat, the hosts were restricted to 160/8 in Bengaluru, with Shreyas Iyer top scoring with 53.

In reply, Australia was reduced to 55/3 as Ravi Bishnoi picked up 2 wickets, including that of World Cup final hero Travis Head.

Ben McDermott however, kept the run chase alive with a grity 54 but a brilliant fightback in the death by Arshdeep and Mukesh restricted the Aussies to 154/8.

This series might not cover up for the World Cup final loss but it has surely given Team India some bright youngsters to bank on for the T20 World Cup next year.
