Commonwealth Games 2022 India's Day 1 schedule: On Day 1 of the 22nd edition of the Commonwealth Games (CWG 2022), many Indian superstars will start their campaign in individual and team sporting events. Indian women's cricket team, led by Harmanpreet Kaur will lock horns with the mighty Australians. Meanwhile, the women's hockey team will take on Ghana. Given their outstanding performance at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, the country has great expectations for Janneke Schopman's squad.

Moreover, paddlers Manika Batra and Sharath Kamal will headline women's and men's Table Tennis events on day 1 of CWG 2022. In addition, the 14-year-old squash prodigy Anahat Singh, part of the contingent, will be seen in action on the first day. Boxers Shiva Thapa, Rohit Tokas, Sumit Kundu and Ashish Choudhary will also begin their campaign in their respective categories.
