5-time Champion Kieron Pollard calls time on his magnificent IPL career

One of Mumbai Indians and IPL's most iconic players and 5-time Champion, Kieron Pollard, announced his IPL retirement on Tuesday.

The 35-year-old, who made his IPL debut in 2010 for the Mumbai Indians was one of their biggest match-winner over the years, having played crucial roles during all their 5 title triumphs.

The hard-hitting all-rounder from Trinidad was an integral part of the MI squad, helping Mumbai become the most successful IPL team ever.

Pollard in a post on Twitter announced his retirement and also revealed that after learning of his impending release from the Mumbai Indians camp, he decided to call time on his IPL career since he just can't see himself playing against the Mumbai Indians. He wrote, 'Once an MI, always an MI'.

He further revealed that he will take up Mumbai Indians' batting coach's job as well as play for the MI Emirates team in the International League T20 in the UAE.
