Volkswagen Taigun compact SUV launched in India

The much-anticipated Volkswagen Taigun is finally on sale in India. The compact SUV is priced from Rs. 10.50 lakh for the base Comfortline variant, going up to Rs. 15.91 lakh for the Topline variant with the 1.0-litre engine.

The 1.5-litre TSI range is offered only in the GT Line with prices starting at Rs. 15 lakh, going up to Rs. 17.50 lakh for the top-spec GT Plus. All prices are ex-showroom India.

The Volkswagen Taigun is a made-for-India, in India SUV with over 93 per cent localisation. The model is loaded on the feature front too with LED lighting, 16-inch alloys, a digital cockpit, electric sunroof, rear AC vents and over 40 safety features. Power comes from the two turbo petrol engines with manual and automatic transmission choices. Volkswagen has already received over 12,000 and is offering the car comes with a 4 year or 1 lakh km warranty.

Volkswagen claims the cost of ownership on the Taigun starts from 37 paise per km. The Volkswagen Taigun is also a contender in the 2022 World Car Awards.
