Know how to maintain a healthy lifestyle as you approach menopause

Menopause brings some noticeable changes to your health. Here are some tips that can help you to deal with the symptoms.

Know how to maintain a healthy lifestyle as you approach menopause

Menopause is the end of your menstruation cycle but it brings some noticeable changes to your health. As the hormone level drops, you might face weight gain, insomnia and skin issues. However, with right self care, you can lessen these effects and have an easy transition during menopause.

Physical activity

Exercising is a key to healthy lifestyle. And during menopause it is equally important to exercise at least for 30 minutes to deal with the symptoms.

Healthy diet

Another vital part of our life is a healthy diet. During menopause it is always advisable to avoid spicy, deep fried or high calorie food. Try to include more fruits and green veggies to your diet and eat home cooked light food only.

Drink adequate water

Drinking enough water maintains body temperature during menopause. Keeping yourself hydrated also helps reducing bloating and dryness.

Get enough sleep

Having proper rest and sleep during this phase is necessary. Even though it gets difficult to get enough sleep at night due to various symptoms; try staying away from electronic gadgets and listen to calming music before going to bed.
