According to the study, a &lsquo;bad&rsquo; or &lsquo;unhealthy&rsquo; diet was one comprising &ldquo;low fruit and vegetable intake, no fish, and lots of red meat, especially processed meat.&rdquo; The results suggested that the participants who engaged in high levels of physical activity while practicing a healthy diet had the lowest risks of death compared to their counterparts who were not only physically inactive but also had poor diets. Lead researcher of the study Melody Ding claimed that while many people may think that they could offset the impacts of a poor diet with high levels of exercise or offset the impacts of low physical activity with a high-quality diet, data has shown that this is not the case. Long story short, the study suggested exercise and a good diet go hand in hand, and balance is the key to a healthy life!

The study found that working with plants twice a week helps to relax and reduce anxiety, stress and depression among healthy women.

The research was conducted on thirty-two women aged between 26 and 49. Half of them were assigned to do gardening and the other half were asked to take art-making sessions. Both of the groups met twice in a week for 4 weeks.
The researchers found that both, the gardening and art-making groups, experienced similar improvements in their <a href="https://www.editorji.com/lifestyle-news/health/4-mental-health-tips-for-young-adults-1655378318012" target="_blank">mental health</a>. However, the gardener group showed less anxiety in comparison to the art makers group.

According to a recent UN report, Cannabis use has widely increased in countries that have legalised the drug. The regular intake of the drug also rose during the Covid-19 lockdowns, raising the risk of depression and suicide, the report added.&nbsp;
Various U.S states have legalised non-medical the use of cannabis including Washington and Colorado. Other countries including Canada have taken similar steps.&nbsp;
While cannabis has been the world&rsquo;s most widely used drug, the content of the drug is also getting stronger. As per the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) annual World Drug Report, roughly 284 million people or 5.6 per cent of the world&rsquo;s population consumed drugs such as heroin, cocaine and ecstasy in 2020. Of those, 209 million used cannabis.&nbsp;
The consumption of cannabis among teenagers has not changed much but the drug use has majorly increased among young adults, the report concluded.&nbsp;

A 12-year-old British boy with brain damage died on Saturday after The Royal London Hospital took him off life support after his parents lost a legal battle seeking extension of his treatment at the hospital.
The parents of Archie Battersbee made unsuccessful appeals at Britain's highest courts and the European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) against ending the life support, and also&nbsp;failed to persuade courts to allow them to move Archie to a hospice to die.
The courts concurred with doctors who said Archie was "brain-stem dead."&nbsp;
Archie's mother Hollie Dance told reporters that her son died just over two hours after the artificial ventilation was stopped. "I am the proudest mum in the world, such a beautiful little boy, and he fought right until the very end," she told reporters outside the hospital.
The doctors treating Archie argued that continuing his treatment on life-support or&nbsp; moving him to a hospice would not have been in his 'best interests'.
In April, Archie was found unconscious after sustaining an injury at home and had been in a coma since then.

The team found that participants who routinely napped during the day had a 12% higher risk of developing high blood pressure and a 24% increased risk of stroke compared to those who never napped.
Data also suggested that the risk would increase if participants who never napped did so occasionally or if they went from napping sometimes to often.
