Gen Z wants to cancel thumbs up emoji. Know why

Gen Z and their cancel culture manage to hit the headlines for all the obvious reasons. And this time, their victim is the most commonly used emoji 'thumbs-up'.

Gen Z feels that thumbs-up emoji comes as passive-aggressive, hurtful and rude. Recently, 2,000 people from age 16 to 29 participated in a survey and it was found that the heart and thumbs-up emojis are for boomers.

Soon after this, a Reddit user's reaction went viral on the internet, where they admitted that they are not comfortable with the thumbs-up emoji. They further said that this emoticon is unsettling.

Internet users were amused after seeing this cancel culture targetting an emoji. Some users agreed that the thumbs-up emoji is rude, while others said that they do not have a problem with this emoji.
