Made popular by social media influencer and entertainer Addison Rae, the scrunch face pose is now a prevailing trend among Gen Z, on TikTok and Instagram. The posts and videos have garnered 1.1 million views so far, taking the trend to the next level.

What is scrunching?

Scrunching your face refers to the act of tightly contracting or wrinkling the muscles of your facial expressions, typically resulting in the creation of lines or wrinkles on the skin. People may scrunch their faces intentionally as a part of certain facial expressions, like frowning, squinting, or making an expressive, exaggerated face.
