      5 home remedies for acidity

      Chewing on fennel seeds

      Fennel seeds help in reducing gas and bloating, providing relief from gastruc discomfort. Take a teaspoon of fennel seeds after heavy meals. Strain and drink this herbal tea to ease digestion and reduce acidity.

      Drink some cold milk

      Another effective home remedy is to drink cold milk. Cold milk will help neutralise stomach acid and provides an instant relief from burning sensations. Make sure to drink a glass of cold milk if suffering from acidity. You can also add a teaspoon of honey to make it more effective.

      Chamomile tea

      Chamomile tea can calm your stomach and reduce inflammation. Make a cup by putting a chamomile tea bag in hot water for 5-10 minutes. Drink it after meals or when your stomach feels uncomfortable.

      Apple Cider vinegar

      Even though it's acidic, apple cider vinegar can actually help balance the acid levels in your stomach and ease acidity. Mix one to two tablespoons of raw, unfiltered apple cider vinegar in a glass of water. Drink it before meals to prevent acidity or when your stomach feels uncomfortable.

      Make sure to dilute well, to avoid irritation.

      Ginger tea

      Another wonder tea for digestion is ginger tea. Ginger has natural anti-inflammatory properties that can help reduce acidity and soothe the digestive system. To make ginger tea, simmer a few slices of fresh ginger in hot water for about 10 minutes. Strain the liquid and add a little honey or lemon juice for flavor. Drink this 2-3 times a day.
