Shah Rukh Khan's 'tandoori chicken tikka' diet: How good or bad is it for health?

In a 2021 interview, Farah Khan revealed that Shah Rukh Khan only has chicken tikka for lunch and dinner. Here are the implications of a chicken-only diet.

Shah Rukh Khan's 'tandoori chicken tikka' diet: How good or bad is it for health?

Shah Rukh Khan is a foodie and loves his share of chicken. In a recent interview, Farah Khan revealed that once during a shoot, SRK munched only on tandoori chicken tikka for lunch and dinner and never ate rice or roti.

What does a diet consisting of only tandoori chicken, excluding bread, grains, and other carbohydrates, do to your body? Let us know more.

What did Farah Khan say?

During a Star vs Food Season 2 interview in 2021, Anil Kapoor asked Farah Khan, “How would you describe Salman with food?"

She responded, “He is the only star I know who eats everything. Shah Rukh eats tandoori chicken only. I’ve never seen him eat rice, bread, or roti. Salman, despite having this physique, I’ve seen him eat biryani, chhole, rice. He eats everything."

A follower named Balwant Dhaliwal also shared an encounter with the Jawan actor and revealed “Yup, still remembered that when King Khan was in Malacca (Malaysia) shooting for Don 2, we catered for him and the film crew. His menu was just tandoori chicken tikka for lunch and dinner."

What happens when you eat just chicken and no grains?

According to a report by News 18, the high protein intake from tandoori chicken can boost metabolism, support muscle maintenance, and increase feelings of fullness, which may stabilise blood sugar levels and aid in weight management.

However, the absence of fruits, vegetables, and grains can lead to deficiencies. A lack of dietary variety can lead to constipation, impact digestive health, and cause other gastrointestinal issues. Your only-chicken diet can also affect kidney and heart function if not balanced properly.
