India's Tikka, murgh makani feature in Taste Atlas' '100 Best Dishes in the World', netizens unhappy

Indian food, with its distinctive taste and flavour, has managed to impress once again as four popular Indian dishes featured in Taste Atlas' '100 Best Dishes in the World list'. Taste Atlas is an online food ranking platform.

India's Butter garlic naan, tikka, murgh makhani and tandoori rank in top 100 dishes

Indian food and its flavours have impressed critics once again. This time four Indian dishes have featured in the list and we are thrilled.

They named four Indian 'dishes' as part of the Top 50, namely Butter Garlic Naan at number 7, Murgh Makhani at number 43, and 'Tikka' at number 47, followed closely by 'Tandoori' at number 48.

However, many Indians were not happy as they argued that butter garlic naan is a side dish and tikka is a type of preparation.

One netizen commented on the list and wrote, "Ok what the hell is tandoori? Tandoori what? Tandoori is the style of cooking .. this is such a vague list," while another read, "How is butter garlic naan a dish?"
