Helpful guide to plan your grocery shopping

Do you also end up buying unnecessary items while ordering grocery? Well, here's an easy guide to plan your grocery shopping well and avoid spending extra money

Helpful guide to plan your grocery shopping

Whether shopping grocery online or at a store all of us tend to buy unwanted extra items which are mostly high in calorie or unhealthy. Do you agree?

To avoid this here are somethings you may follow:

  • Always think what all you really need and what you just want. Keep the needs in your priority list or cart and strike out the wants.
  • Instead of over stocking make a list of things you need immediately or for the next two weeks.
  • Prioritise buying fruits, vegetables, lentils, grains and dairy and then move over to miscellaneous items like coffee, tea leaves, masalas etc.
  • Have a separate list for non-edible items like cleaning supplies. Again instead of buying extra stuff buy or order only that's needed right away.
  • Try to order only small packs rather than bigger ones so that they are utilised sooner and don’t expire before being used.
  • Always check expiry dates of items you buy.
  • Avoid processed and packaged items as much as possible and buy fresh food.

Try to follow these steps to save money and also to avoid loading up junks around your home.
