Oatmeal is a wholesome and fulfilling meal that can be eaten at any given hour of the day. It is extremely nutritious and healthy. Eating oatmeal has many health benefits that include improved heart health, reduced constipation and lowered blood sugar levels among many other benefits.

So, check out this quick recipe to make delicious oatmeal at home in just 4 simple steps.

Step 1

Pour 1 cup water in a pan and add ½ cup oats into it. Cook the oats for a few minutes till they become soft and attain a creamy texture.

Step 2

Now, add 3 tsp flax seeds, 2 tsp slivered almonds and a pinch of saffron into the pan.

Step 3

Next, add salt according to taste, a pinch of nutmeg powder and 1 tsp honey. Also, add ¼ tsp red chilli powder for spice.

Step 4

Finally, add some chopped tomatoes and ¼ cup peas along with ½ cup of milk into the pan to give the oats a creamy texture. Cook for a few minutes and serve hot.
