Ayurveda practitioner shares the right way to consume tomatoes

According to Practicing Ayurveda Dr. Manisha Mishra tomato is an acidic fruit. Hence, one should avoid eating tomatoes daily and preferably consume them cooked. However, if you like eating them raw, then it’s better to remove the seeds. The doctor also said that instead of green tomatoes, add red tomatoes to your diet. Lastly, one can only benefit from tomatoes if they are cooked in healthy fats like butter and ghee.

Dr. Manisha Mishra also mentioned that tomatoes are great for the skin too. If you apply raw tomatoes on your skin, it'll make it glow and reduce tanning.
