Drumsticks, often known as Moringa, are nutrient-dense pods loaded with essential vitamins and minerals. They are renowned for their high iron and calcium content, offering numerous health benefits. Incorporate drumsticks into your diet for a boost in nutrition and overall well-being.

A recipe for drumstick soup shared by actor and politician Smriti Irani has recently gone viral on Instagram.

Ingredients

1 cup of red lentils (Masoor ki dal)
3 drumsticks
1 large onion
1-inch piece of ginger
1 large tomato
3-4 broad flat beans (Sem Phalli)
4 cups of water
1 teaspoon of ghee
1/2 teaspoon of black pepper powder
Salt to taste

Recipe for soup

To make this healthy soup, take 1 cup of red lentils (masoor ki dal), 3 drumsticks, 1 onion, 1 inch of ginger, 1 tomato, and 3-4 flat beans. Put these ingredients in a pressure cooker along with 4 cups of water, 1 tablespoon of ghee, 1/2 tablespoon of black pepper powder and salt to taste.

Boil the mixture until it reaches 4-5 whistles, then blend everything and strain. Your healthy, iron-rich soup is ready to be served.
