A viral video shows the dal being served in a bowl in a wooden box with 24 carat gold powder sprinkled on it. This special dish is called 'Dal Kashkan' and costs 58 dirhams i.e. approximately ₹ 1,300. The waiter explains that in ancient times gold used to be kept in safe boxes so, this dal is also served in a box as it is considered as precious as gold.
