Viral TikTok video reveals the bitter truth of 'influencer makeup' tutorials; know what it is

Beauty influencer, Bennet Northen shared a video on TikTok that went viral for showing that "influencer makeup" doesn't work well in real life.

In his video, Northen stated that makeup tutorials posted by influencers leave followers with a 'harsh look' and this kind of makeup is much different from our daily go-to makeup.

He also suggests that influencer makeup isn't a "practical style", but it is actually generated for entertainment.

In his video, Northen walked viewers through two makeup tutorials — using both sides of his face to compare the drastic difference between “influencer makeup” and his everyday routine.

"Influencers often thrive on the unconventional; predictability doesn't yield much for them. Their content is deliberately dramatic, aiming to evoke strong reactions from viewers," Northen explained.
