How often do you shower? Dermatologists claim 2-3 times a week is enough

Do you take a shower every day? If yes, you are not alone. But, as per dermatologists, skipping a few days can be good for your skin.

While bathing regularly is important to maintain body hygiene, especially during summer, dermatologists suggest taking a shower two to three times each week might be enough.

According to experts, showering too much may worsen or lead to skin conditions like itching, dry and flaky skin and even make your hair dry and brittle. It also depends on how long you spend in the shower. Bathe for 3 to 5 minutes and concentrate on the important body parts.

The frequency also depends on individual factors like weather, lifestyle, skin type, age, activity level. For example, people who spend hours in the hot sun working in the field will likely need to bathe more often than people who stay indoors.
