Winter is just around the corner. So, let's prepare ourselves for it ahead of time. Whether our hair or our skin, everything needs extra during the winter season. Our hair too needs extra pampering during winters. So, here are some tips you must follow during the chilly season.

Caring tips for your hair during winters

Washing hair with hot water in this season may leave your scalp dry, itchy and rough. Here are some tips to protect your mane this season.

Hot oil massage - Massage your hair twice or thrice a week with hot coconut or olive oil. This will nourish hair follicles and reduce hair fall.

Avoid hot water for hair wash - Always maintain the temperature of water with which you wash your hair. Try to keep it lukewarm.

Never forget conditioner - After every wash make sure to use conditioner on your hair. prefer a conditioner containing jojoba oil and shea butter.

Hair spa - A good hair spa is needed in almost all seasons but if you can’t afford to make it to salon every time, mix egg yolks, onion juice, and olive oil. Apply the mix to your hair and keep it for an hour before washing off with shampoo.

Avoid shampooing more than twice a week - Don’t shampoo your hair more than twice a week as it removes natural oil from your scalp, causing dandruff.

Use microfibre towels - Microfibre towels are gentler on hair and have good water-absorbing capacity. Avoid using cotton towels which might make your hair frizzy.
