Couple that banks together, lasts together: Study

Sharing finances is a touchy issue. Either it can make a relationship or break it. However, a recent study published in the Cornell University/the University of Colorado found that couples who have joint bank accounts often have happier relationships.

In the study, it was found that 62% of couples who had a joint account spent their money in the same way. The team also found that couples who have joint accounts, stay together for longer.

Other than this, couples who bank together are more satisfied in their relationships. And, even when they spend money differently, they tend to spend more on sensible, utilitarian stuff and less on hedonic stuff.
