During an official visit to Kasganj, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Tuesday underscored the critical need to modernize the police force to bolster internal security. He referenced the Indian armed forces’ recent advancements in modernization, which were pivotal in successfully executing Operation Sindoor. Adityanath inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for 60 developmental projects in Kasganj, amounting to Rs 724 crore. A standout project is the newly constructed, state-of-the-art police lines costing Rs 191 crore, sprawling over 25.63 hectares. In his address, the Chief Minister drew parallels between Prime Minister Narendra Modi's efforts to modernize the Indian Army, as demonstrated during Operation Sindoor that compelled Pakistan to submission, and the imperative to enhance the police infrastructure for maintaining internal peace. He noted, "Our military is equipped to strike adversaries even within their territories, thanks to modernization. Similarly, upgrading our police force is essential for safeguarding the nation internally." Adityanath highlighted the commitment of the BJP-led double-engine government to modernizing Kasganj's infrastructure while honoring its mythological and spiritual heritage. He criticized previous administrations, particularly the Samajwadi Party and Bahujan Samaj Party, for their lack of developmental focus and failure to address infrastructure needs, resulting in an era synonymous with disorder and corruption. He emphasized, "Before 2017, Kasganj was deprived of essential development. Chaos reigned in Uttar Pradesh's streets past evening, and safety was a concern for daughters and traders due to rampant hooliganism and frequent communal strife." Praising the newly built police lines, he said it would become a national model in policing infrastructure. The complex boasts accommodations for 1,000 police personnel, officer residences, an auditorium, and various contemporary amenities, representing a significant leap in strengthening internal security. The Chief Minister lauded the UP Police Housing Corporation's efforts in establishing these new facilities, marking a formidable advance in internal security. "Today's UP Police are the nemesis of the mafia, ensuring no illegal operations flourish, and any threats to citizens are met with resolute justice," he asserted. Adityanath also spotlighted Kasganj’s rich cultural lineage, associating it with Lord Vishnu’s Varaha avatar and sage Kapil's penance. He assured that Soron, a site of historical importance in Kasganj, will see development parallels to that of Ayodhya, Mathura, and Vrindavan. He announced various projects for Kasganj, including the beautification of Nardai bridge, building a heritage museum, constructing bypass roads, and beautifying a lake in Dariyavganj. The foundation stone for a "Mukhyamantri Composite School" was also laid, promising education from pre-primary through class 12. Such institutions will initially be established at the district level and then expanded to tehsils, blocks, and Nyaya Panchayat levels. Adityanath concluded by mentioning that the Rs 724 crore investment will foster comprehensive development in healthcare, road infrastructure, drinking water supply, urban development, and tourism, thereby integrating faith with economic prosperity.
