CM Yogi felicitates class 10, 12 toppers with Rs 1 lakh reward, tablets

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Thursday felicitated 166 meritorious students from across various education boards who secured top 10 ranks in the Class 10 and Class 12 board examinations for the academic year 2024–25.

The students represent the UP Board, Sanskrit Education Council, CBSE, and ICSE boards.

Each of these top-performing students was awarded ₹1 lakh in cash, along with a tablet, certificate, and medal as part of the state’s recognition initiative.

In addition to the main state-level ceremony, district-level programmes are also being held to honour outstanding students locally. A total of 1,508 students will be recognised at these events, each receiving ₹21,000, a tablet, a certificate, and a medal.

These district-level ceremonies are being organised across all 75 districts of Uttar Pradesh and will take place this afternoon. Of the 1,508 students, 758 belong to the high school category, while 750 are from intermediate classes.

The Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad (UPMSP) had declared the UP Board 2025 results in April. Among the toppers is Mehak Jaiwal from Prayagraj, who topped the Class 12 exams with over 97% marks.

Sharing her joy, Mehak said, "I have secured 97%. I am very happy. I worked really hard, and that's why I got such good results. My parents, teachers, and sister supported me a lot... I want to be a doctor," she told ANI.

Congratulating the successful students, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath shared a message on social media platform X, stating, "Hearty congratulations to all the brilliant students who have secured place in the merit list in the 10th and 12th class examinations of Uttar Pradesh Board of Secondary Education!" He added, "All of you have achieved this success through your tireless hard work, discipline and determination. This achievement will make your parents and teachers proud. Best wishes to all of you for a bright future!"

The Chief Minister also reiterated the government’s commitment to honouring both state and district-level achievers through awards and recognition.

Among the other meritorious students is Shivani Yadav from Prayagraj, who secured the 9th position in the intermediate exams with 95%. Shivani, who prepared without enrolling in any online coaching, said, "I had expected 92% but not 95%. I studied only at my school; I did not join any online coaching... I want to prepare for PCS (Provincial Civil Services)."

Another high achiever, Anushka Singh from Kaushambi, secured the second position in the Class 12 exams with 96.8%. She aspires to become an IAS officer and is also preparing for the JEE.

"I used to study for 6-7 hours daily and got my doubts cleared with the help of my teachers... In the future, I want to take the civil services exam and become an IAS officer. Currently, I am preparing for JEE and will pursue BTech," Anushka shared.

Through these recognition efforts, the Uttar Pradesh government continues to celebrate academic excellence and encourage future aspirations among the state’s youth.
