Drone-Dropped Narcotics Seized in J&K's Kathua District

Jammu, July 30: In a significant operation in Jammu and Kashmir's Kathua district, authorities have successfully recovered a packet containing narcotics believed to have been dropped by a drone from across the border, according to official reports.

The discovery followed a tip-off from locals in the Hiranagar area, who spotted a suspiciously wrapped packet on Tuesday evening. Acting swiftly, the police and Border Security Force (BSF) teams located and secured the package, as confirmed by the officials.

The packet was found to contain 400 grams of narcotics. In response, comprehensive searches were conducted throughout the area to ascertain if any additional items had been dropped by the drone.

An FIR has already been lodged concerning this incident. Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Shobhit Saxena emphasized that vigilance is being maintained and that search operations are ongoing.
