Mamata trying to make Modi happy as...: Congress on TMC chief's 'TRP' attack on Rahul

After Trinamool Congress chief Mamata Banerjee reportedly launched an attack on Congress' Rahul Gandhi, the grand old party hit back saying that the West Bengal chief minister is speaking against Congress at the behest of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Congress MP Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury told news agency ANI on March 20, 2023, 'Mamata is attacking Rahul at the behest of Modi only. She has struck a deal with Modi to defame the Congress, especially Rahul Gandhi.'

He added, 'She is launching attacks against Congress and Rahul Gandhi to save herself from CBI-ED raids. Criticising and attacking the Congress will make the PM happy so she will strive to do that.'

At an internal meeting, the TMC chief reportedly told party leaders that if Gandhi is the face of the Opposition, then "nobody will be able to target PM Modi", according to sources quoted by news outlet NDTV.

The Trinamool supremo added that Rahul Gandhi is Modi's "biggest TRP", and BJP is keen on making Gandhi "a hero" and "the leader".
