Lakhimpur Kheri violence: protests in Delhi, Youth Cong workers clash with police

Youth Congress workers clashed with Delhi Police on Saturday afternoon, demanding the arrest of Ashish Mishra accused in the Lakhimpur Kheri violence case.

Protests over the deaths of eight people, including four farmers, in UP's Lakhimpur Kheri turned violent this week.

Dozens of people were seen holding placards, shouting slogans, and jumping on burning effigies on the streets of the national capital.

Protesters were also seen fighting with the cops as they tried to break past barricades.

Son of Union Minister Ajay Mishra is accused of running his car over protesting farmers. However, nearly a week after that incident, he remains a free man.
