Locals informed the fire brigade personnel that around 20-22 people were trapped under the debris, when they reached the spot after receiving a call about the incident, the official said.
Around a dozen fire engines were deployed at the spot besides two rescue vans and other fire brigade equipment, the official said.

Disdained politician Shrikant Tyagi on Monday moved a surrender application in Noida court saying he was not evading. Tyagi's lawyers reportedly said their client was ready to cooperate, and was not hiding. 
They also urged for his judicial custody. The court has reserved the matter for August 10, as per a report by Republic World. 
Following Tyagi's 'fleeing' speculationt, Noida Police announced a bounty of Rs 25,000 for his arrest earlier in the day.

Self-proclaimed BJP leader Shrikant Tyagi, who has been booked for assaulting a woman at a society in Uttar Pradesh&rsquo;s Noida, on Monday moved a surrender application in court saying he was not absconding after the police announced a bounty of Rs 25,000 for his arrest.
Tyagi's lawyers, as per media reports, urged for his judicial custody instead of police custody affirming that their client was ready to cooperate.&nbsp;
Media reports say that the court will hear the surrender plea on August 10.

An FIR filed against Tyagi on August 5 after a video of him abusing and assaulting a woman from his society went viral on social media.&nbsp;
The woman had objected to Tyagi planting some trees in the society's common area, citing violation of rules. He claimed he was within his rights to do so.

Meanwhile, the CM reportedly also dialled Congress chief Sonia Gandhi. 
The development has come in the wake of an ongoing war of words between the JD(U) and BJP. On Sunday, Nitish Kumar's party alleged its ally "BJP's hand in conspiracies" against the state government. JDU chief Lalan Singh in a press conference said his party would stick to its decision of not joining the Union Council of Ministers, a decision it had taken in 2019.
The CM also didn't attend the NITI Aayog Governing Council Meeting of states presided by Prime Minister Modi on August 7
Former JD(U) leader RCP Singh was the only representative of the party in the Union cabinet. He tendered his resignation on Sunday after his party sought explantion from him over courrption allegations. Singh was also denied a Rajya Sabha seat by his party for the Upper House polls in June.
The possibility of a JD (U)-RJD tie-up have  been doing rounds for quite some time. The ruling JD(U) also extended its support to Opposition's Tejashwi Yadav's protest against Centre on price rise. It said that the RJD leader was well within his rights to do so

Cloudbursts struck at least two villages in Himachal Pradesh's Chamba district, killing a 15-year-old boy and prompting evacuation of some houses, officials said Monday.
The Chamba District Emergency Operation Centre (DEOC) said Bhadoga and Kandhwara villages were hit by sudden heavy rains in the intervening night of Sunday and Monday.
At Bhadoga, Vijay Kumar (15) died and two other people sustained injuries, the state disaster management department said.
At Kandhwara, a PWD bridge over Shalei Kandhwara nullah and agricultural land were damaged, they said.
Meanwhile, five houses in the adjacent Gulel village were evacuated due to the overflow of water and people were shifted to safer places, the department said.

She claimed that when her 3-year-old daughter was playing in the bathroom, her husband started beating her up with a ladle for not exiting. The mother intervened but was pushed away by the man. Then he allegedly banged his daughter against the floor.
The victim has reportedly been admitted to a hospital. The couple got married in 2015 and have 4 daughters. The mother is 8 months pregnant.
The father was detained by police after being booked under Section 307 of the Indian Penal Code which relates to attempted murder. Relevant sections of the Juvenile Justice Act have also been invoked.

Nishikant Dubey said he was quoting from a state government reply in the Jharkhand Assembly. "Our MLA Anant Ojha asked a question in the state Assembly. I tweeted the reply given by the state government. They admitted that over 500 government schools have Urdu in the name. Over 500 schools have Urdu prayers. Over 500 schools where hands are not folded for prayers. They have weekly holidays on Fridays instead of Sundays. The state is moving towards Islamisation," he said.
Dubey said that he would raise the issue in the Parliament if it is allowed to function. He also called for an investigation by the National Investigation Agency (NIA) into a "conspiracy to break the nation".
The BJP MP added, "Government of India should impose President's Rule in Jharkhand. If the entire state is moving towards Islamisation, Bangladesh refugees are being given shelter, ISI activities are increasing. What other options are there? If country doesn't survive, then nothing will survive. This is a big conspiracy to break the nation. Congress and Jharkhand Mukti Morcha are involved in this. Congress has broken the nation once, but wants to do it again."
Jharkhand officials have said that unilateral action by schools without government approval is being probed.
