India didn't allow media questions during Modi-Biden meet, says White House: reports

India reportedly denied the White House's request to grant more access to the reporters travelling with US President Joe Biden for the G20 summit in New Delhi.

According to a CNN report, two US officials told the news outlet that reporters were not allowed to ask questions to Joe Biden and Narendra Modi after the bilateral meeting on September 8.

Commenting on the reports, Congress leader Jairam Ramesh tweeted, 'President Biden's team says despite multiple requests India has not allowed media to ask questions of him and Prime Minister Modi after their bilateral meeting, President Biden will now take questions in Vietnam on Sept 11th from the media accompanying him. Not surprising at all. This is how democracy is done Modi-style'
