Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu called for widespread adoption of Artificial Intelligence (AI) during an address to Telugu NRIs in Zurich, Switzerland, on Monday. He proposed a model where the government could pay AI providers to offer free access to AI platforms for the public.

Speaking at a gathering of Telugu NRIs from various European countries, Naidu encouraged individuals to leverage tools like ChatGPT to make informed decisions. “At least one person in a family should adopt AI. If you can’t consult ten people for a decision, consult ChatGPT or AI instead,” he suggested, highlighting the platform’s ability to stimulate critical thinking.

Challenging Telugu Diaspora to Excel

Drawing a parallel to the global influence of the Jewish community, Naidu urged Telugu NRIs to achieve greater success on the world stage. “The Jewish population is just 1.2 crore, but they dominate globally due to their unity and contributions. With over 10 crore Telugus, we can achieve even more,” he said, advising the diaspora to create wealth, excel globally, and stay connected to their roots.

The Chief Minister also highlighted India’s growing prominence, predicting the nation’s rise as a global leader by 2047. He stressed the importance of population management and the need for India to leverage its demographic advantage.

Promoting Andhra Pradesh at the WEF

Naidu, accompanied by IT Minister Nara Lokesh, Industries Minister TG Bharat, and other officials, is attending the World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos from January 20-24. His mission is to promote 'Brand Andhra' and attract investments to the state, which he envisions as a hub for green hydrogen and innovation.

At Zurich Airport, Naidu received a warm welcome from Telugu NRIs and the Europe TDP Forum. The delegation also interacted with potential investors and shared ideas for Andhra Pradesh’s growth.

Naidu met with Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy and IT Minister D Sridhar Babu at the airport. Both state leaders are attending the WEF to secure investments for their respective states, showcasing a collaborative approach to development.

The Chief Minister emphasised the role of the Telugu diaspora in sharing global best practices and contributing to Andhra Pradesh’s progress. “Our state has the potential to lead in green hydrogen and innovative industries. With your support, we can achieve great things,” Naidu said.
