Raju Srivastava's health update: Comedian is now able to move his body and interact, says report

Raju Srivastava’s health is now improving. His chief advisor Ajit Saxena has confirmed that the comedian is now able to move his hands and feet as he gained consciousness, reported India Today. He suffered a heart attack while exercising last month and was immediately admitted to AIIMS hospital where he underwent angioplasty. The comedian also interacted with his wife Shikha Srivastava, India Today quoted Ajit Saxena as saying. He further added that Raju’s condition is ‘steadily improving’ as he is now making an effort for quick recovery.

Raju’s wife is the only person who is allowed to meet him in the hospital to avoid the risk of infection. Earlier, daughter Antara Srivastava had shared that her father’s condition is stable.

A few days after Raju’s hospitalisation, rumours of his health deteriorating had surfaced online. In an interview with news agency PTI, his wife urged people not to spread false news. She said, ‘My sincere request is kindly do not spread rumours. It affects our morale. We do not want negative energy, we need positivity. Please pray for his speedy recovery and he will be back soon. Doctors are giving their best and Raju ji is supporting them, He is fighting. So, kindly do not spread negativity.’

Raju Srivastava became really popular for his performance in the first season of the stand-up comedy show ‘The Great Indian Laughter Challenge’ (2005). He has also starred in movies like ‘Baazigar,’ ‘Maine Pyar Kiya,’ ‘Aamdani Atthani Kharcha Rupaiya,’ ‘Main Prem Ki Diwani Hoon’ and ‘Bombay to Goa.’ He is also the chairperson for Film Development Council Uttar Pradesh.
