Kapil Sharma opens up about battling depression, thanks media and wife for support

The king of comedy Kapil Sharma has opened up about battling depression in 2017-18.

The host of the hit comedy show 'The Kapil Sharma Show', revealed that it was through media reports that he got to know that he was suffering from depression, adding that he had no clue what he was going through at the time.

Kapil also credited his wife Ginni Chatrath for being his rock during the difficult phase in his life.

Speaking about his battle with depression at Fever FM’s Bounce Back Bharat Fest, the comedian said he did not understand mental illnesses and neither did his mother, as she is from a small village, but his wife Ginni understood what he was going through and was his pillar of strength.

Kapil credited his wife for motivating him to get back to work again.

Well, Kapil Sharma has bounced back and fans are thrilled at his second innings. Kapil made a comeback with the show, 'Family Time With Kapil Sharma' and then started a new season of 'The Kapil Sharma Show' which has been backed by Salman Khan.
