'Bigg Boss 17': Ankita Lokhande breaks her silence on breakup with Sushant Singh Rajput

‘Bigg Boss 17’ contestant Ankita Lokhande has finally broken her silence over her breakup with late actor Sushant Singh Rajput. In a conversation with her fellow contestant, comedian Munawar Faruqui, Ankita revealed that she dated Sushant for 7 years. The duo got famous after the TV show ‘Pavitra Rishta’, and they started dating in the year 2010.

Ankita revealed to Munawar that Sushant never really gave her any explanation for their breakup. She said, ‘Wo ek dum ek raat mein gayab ho gaya. Success mil rahi thi toh log uske kaan bhar rahe the.’ (He suddenly disappeared. He was getting success so people were trying to manipulate him)

Previously, Ankita revealed that after parting ways with Sushant, it took her 2.5 years to move on from the pain. She further said that even though Sushant had moved on in his life, she wasn't able to imagine being in a romantic relationship with anybody other than him.

Ankita Lokhande and Sushant Singh Rajput have played the roles of Archana and Manav in the show ‘Pavitra Rishta’. Their chemistry was highly appreciated by everyone. Sushant quit the show in 2011 to pursue his Bollywood career. His sudden demise in 2020 left everybody around shocked and miserable. The actor was reportedly dating Rhea Chakraborty at that time.

Ankita Lokhande is now married to businessman Vicky Jain, who is also a part of the Salman Khan-hosted show. She often talks about Sushant in her interviews.

‘It is not easy for a man to watch his to-be wife giving interviews on her ex-boyfriend on television and talking about her past. There were different stories emerging everyday and I was right there talking about Sushant all the time. Vicky comes from a very respectable family. I remember they called me and supported me saying, ‘Don’t worry, all will be well,’ she had told ETimes.
