Sushmita Sen undergoes angioplasty after heart attack, is doing fine now

Actor Sushmita Sen has shared a post on Instagram revealing that she underwent angioplasty after she suffered a heart attack a couple of days back. She said she has a stent in place and her cardiologist reconfirmed that she does have a ‘big heart.’

Sharing a picture with her father Subir Sen, Sushmita wrote, ‘Keep your heart happy & courageous, and it’ll stand by you when you need it the most Shona (Wise words by my father @sensubir ). I suffered a heart attack a couple of days back…Angioplasty done…stent in place…and most importantly, my cardiologist reconfirmed ‘I do have a big heart’. Lots of people to thank for their timely aid & constructive action…will do so in another post! This post is just to keep you (my well wishers & loved ones) informed of the good news …that all is well & I am ready for some life again!!! I love you guys beyond!!!! #godisgreat #duggadugga’

After receiving good wishes from her fans on the post, she commented, ‘Thank you sooooooo much for all the love & healing energies you sent my way….oh the power of collective prayers…life saving indeed!!! I love you guys!!!!’

On the work front, Sushmita Sen is gearing up for the third season of the Disney Plus Hotstar series ‘Aarya’. The show marked Sen’s comeback to acting after a hiatus of five years. She also has the web series ‘Taali’ in the pipeline, which will feature her as transgender activist Gauri Sawant.
