Samantha Ruth Prabhu begins shooting for ‘Citadel’ with Varun Dhawan: ‘The mission is on’

Actor Samantha Ruth Prabhu has joined Varun Dhawan for Raj and DK's ‘Citadel’. Sharing the exciting news on social media, she wrote, ‘the mission is on...we have started rolling for the Indian installment of Citadel.’

In a statement, Samantha said, 'When Prime Video and Raj and DK approached me with this project, I decided to take it up in a heartbeat! After working with this team on The Family Man, it is homecoming for me.'

Directors Raj & DK (Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK) also took to social media to announce the same. They shared a picture of Samantha Ruth Prabhu in which she looked dapper in a leather jacket paired with black jeans.

Sharing the news, they wrote, ‘Super excited to team up with this powerhouse once again! Welcome @samantharuthprabhuoffl to the world of Citadel! Now filming’.

Soon after the directors shared the news, fans expressed excitement for the project in the comment section.

Indian installment of ‘Citadel’ has been written by Sita R. Menon, along with Raj & DK. The production of the show is currently underway in Mumbai. The unit will soon head to North India for shooting. Following this, they will also be filming in Serbia and South Africa.
