‘RRR’ composer MM Keeravani bags Los Angeles Film Critics Association award for best music score

SS Rajamouli’s ‘RRR’ is on an award-winning spree as music composer MM Keeravani has bagged yet another award. He received the Los Angeles Film Critics Association’s (LAFCA) best music score award for his work in the magnum opus, starring Ram Charan and Jr NTR. Keeravani composed seven original tracks, ‘Dosti’, ‘Naatu Naatu’, ‘Janani’, ‘Komuram Bheemudo’, ‘Raamam Raaghavam’, ‘Etthara Jenda’, and ‘Komma Uyyala’, for the pan-India movie.

The winners’ list was shared by the LAFCA on its official website on Sunday night. The ‘RRR’ team thanked the association for recognising their efforts.

‘Our very own @MMKeeravaani Garu won the prestigious @LAFilmCritics award for the Best Music Director. Our utmost gratitude to the jury for recognising #RRRMovie’s chartbuster album & background score,’ the movie’s official Twitter page tweeted.

On Sunday night, MM Keeravani also won Best Original Score at the Boston Society of Film Critics.

The other awards bagged by ‘RRR’ include the Best International Film award at the Atlanta Film Critics Circle, and SS Rajamouli won the best director award at the New York Film Critics Circle.

On Monday, Golden Globes nominations were announced and ‘RRR’ scored two nominations - Best Non-English Language Film and Best Original Song for ‘Naatu Naatu’.

‘RRR’, a pre-Indian independence era fiction, grossed over Rs 1,000 crore worldwide following its release on March 24.
