'OMG 2': Akshay Kumar trolled after advice to 'stop wasting oil and milk on gods'

Akshay Kumar is being trolled after an old video of him questioning the offerings of milk and oil to gods surfaced online. The social media debate comes a day after the release of a teaser from his next film 'OMG 2'.

In an interview to a Marathi channel, Akshay asked if it was written anywhere that God has asked these items as offerings. In the video, the actor advises devotees to 'stop wasting so much oil and milk on Gods.'

The 'Khiladi of Bollywood' further advised people to donate food to the underprivileged. While many commended the actor’s suggestion, there were some who criticised the actor saying, ‘he is trashing his own religion.’ A user even said that the actor might change his way after his film gets a boycott.

Akshay will be seen in the role of Lord Shiva in the film which is scheduled to release on August 11.
