Lucky Ali says T-Series shelved his album over crediting differences

Indie music lovers swear by Lucky Ali's music. The 63 year old went viral a couple of months ago for his impromptu performance in Goa, but Lucky Ali also had his fair share of setbacks.

In a recent Facebook post, the singer shared how music label T-Series had once shelved his album over disagreements regarding crediting artists.

Lucky Ali said that he had worked with T-Series for his fourth solo album, 'Kabhi Aisa Lagta Hai' in 2004. While Aslam, Ali, and another lyricist wrote the words, the company credited some other artist as 'he was being promoted by the label'. Lucky Ali had objected to the idea, and his album was taken off the shelves.

But that's all in the past. Lucky Ali said, what ever happened was for good and he's at peace now.

Lucky Ali is the latest one to join a group of many singers in the Hindi film industry who have called out T-Series over unfair treatment, these include Sonu Nigam and Monali Thakur.

In 2020, singer Sonu Nigam had blasted T-Series and its head honcho, Bhushan Kumar, going to the point of bringing "mafia" allegations against the label. He was supported by several singers, such as Salim Merchant and Adnan Sami.

National award winner Monali Thakur had also spoken at length about the 'mafiagiri' in the music industry, claiming big labels crush singers 'like ants'.
