Sharing the news on X, BCCI wrote, 'Brace yourselves for a mesmerising musical special ft. Arijit Singh at the largest cricket ground in the world- The Narendra Modi Stadium!'

ICC World Cup 2023: Arijit Singh and many others will perform before India-Pakistan match in Ahmedabad

India is all set to play against Pakistan in the World Cup 2023 in Ahmedabad on October 14. Prior to the match, a grand musical ceremony will be held.

Taking to X (formerly Twitter), the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced that Arijit Singh will perform during a pre-match show at the Narendra Modi Stadium.

The post read, ‘Kickstarting the much-awaited #INDvPAK clash with a special performance! Brace yourselves for a mesmerising musical special ft. Arijit Singh at the largest cricket ground in the world- The Narendra Modi Stadium! Join the pre-match show on 14th October starting at 12:30 PM.’

After two back-to-back wins, India is riding on high confidence and is ready to face traditional rival Pakistan. India began their World Cup campaign with a victory over Australia, while Pakistan has two victories in two matches to build momentum.

The golden ticket holders like Amitabh Bachchan and Rajinikanth are also expected to be present to watch the game.

A lot of VIPs are expected to be coming for the India vs Pakistan game. Arijit Singh’s event will start at 12:40 PM on the day and will end by 1:10 PM. Kids will be acting as mascots for the game and will escort teams to the ground.

20-25 Pakistani media outlets will also be coming for the match.

Some officials from PCB are also expected for the match.
