According to reports, Deepika Padukone has been roped in to play a pivotal role in the third installment of the popular American comedy-drama. The details of her role in the upcoming part of the critically acclaimed series have been kept under wraps.

Deepika is all set to live up to her 'Global superstar' tag. According to Zoom Entertainment, she will feature in the third installment of the Emmy-winning series 'The White Lotus'. After making her debut with the Vin Diesel starrer 'XXX: Return of Xander Cage', Padukone is now looking forward to winning over the west side with the wildly popular HBO production. The actor has yet to confirm the update, but fans are already going gaga over the report.

About 'The White Lotus'

'The White Lotus' is an anthology series, with each installment chronicling a different story. It follows the guests and employees of the fictional White Lotus resort chain spread across the globe, where dark secrets unravel under mysterious circumstances, usually ending with the death of a pivotal character. Intended as a limited series, the first part premiered in 2021 to critical acclaim. After the massive success of the first installment, the makers were prompted to renew it for a second season, which premiered in 2022. Subsequently, they also announced 'The White Lotus 3.'

Earlier, Variety reported that the third season would be filmed in Thailand. Ever since the announcement, the fans of the series have been wondering if the showrunners would cast an Asian celebrity in the leading role. With Deepika's casting, it's now confirmed that the Indian diaspora will also be included.

DP will soon be seen in the highly anticipated Siddharth Anand film 'Fighter', in which she co-stars Hrithik Roshan. The film will release in theatres on January 25. The actor will also feature in 'Singham Again' and 'Kalki 2898 AD'.
