Swifties can soon watch Taylor Swift’s concert film on OTT. Winning the bidding war, Disney has bagged the streaming rights for ‘The Eras Tour’ for $75 million. In a tough fight, Disney beat its competitors and secured the first place to win the streaming rights for the highly anticipated concert film, ‘The Eras Tour’.

‘The Eras Tour’, which has already been released in theatres, received massive response from the fans and critics. The concert film turned out to be a big hit and is now all set to be released on digital platform. With Disney sealing the deal for $75 million, it is expected to receive great response on OTT as well. Apart from Disney, Netflix and Universal were among the top contenders for the streaming rights.

‘The Eras Tour’ OTT release date

Taylor Swift’s concert film is scheduled to premiere on Disney Plus on March 15. According to the reports, one of the key factor that added to the bididng war was longer runtime of the film on OTT. If reports are to be believed, the OTT release will have a longer runtime than its theatrical release. This high-cost deal is another feather in the cap for Disney, which already has all Marvel films under its umbrella.

The 14-time Grammy winner, Taylor Swift is currently busy with her ‘Eras’ Tour at the Tokyo Dome. She is expected to attend Super Bowl 2024 before continuing her tour.
