Harman Baweja says media was ‘unfair’ to him after initial films: ‘Barrage of mean things written’

Actor Harman Baweja, who has finally got his due with Hansal Mehta’s recently released web series ‘Scoop’, revealed that he was disheartened with whatever was being reported about him in the media after the failure of his initial films. He said it was ‘unfair’ on the part of them to attack him personally instead of sticking to his professional life.

Speaking with Mid-Day, he said, ‘I feel that the media was absolutely unfair to me. When I had done my first few films, a barrage of harsh and mean things was written (about me). It’s part and parcel of the business, but it hurts when it gets too personal. There were times when I’d make sure that the papers didn’t come home, or that my mom didn’t see them’

The actor added that his career didn’t pan out the way he assumed it would. However, today, the same family who avoided reading papers is now looking forward to the next article on him.
Harman Baweja, who plays the role of JCP Harshvardhan Shroff in ‘Scoop’, is getting praise from both the audience and critics.

‘Scoop’ is an adaptation of journalist Jigna Vora’s biographical book ‘Behind The Bars In Byculla: My Days in Prison’. Karishma Tanna stars as an ambitious crime journalist in the series, who becomes a murder suspect.
