Critics Choice Awards 2023: 'RRR' wins Best Foreign Language film, 'Naatu Naatu' is Best Song

Director SS Rajamouli's magnum opus ‘RRR’ is creating history. After bringing the Golden Globe, the Jr NTR and Ram Charan starrer has now won the Best Foreign Language Film at the Critics Choice Awards. The director and his son, SS Karthikeya, walked up to the stage to collect the award.

‘RRR’ also bagged the award for the best original song for ‘Naatu Naatu’ at the awards show.

While accepting his award, SS Rajamouli thanked ‘the women in my life’, beginning with his mother.

‘She thought school education was overrated and she encouraged me to read comics and storybooks, and she encouraged my creativity,’ said Rajamouli.

He also thanked his wife, costume designer Rama Rajamouli. ‘More than that, she’s the designer of my life,’ he said.

Last week, the period drama won the Best Original Song award at the prestigious Golden Globes 2023.

Besides Ram Charan and Jr NTR, ‘RRR’ also stars Shriya Saran, Samuthirakani, Ray Stevenson, Alison Doody and Olivia Morris and has Alia Bhatt and Ajay Devgn in cameo roles.
