Yearender 2022: ‘Kesariya’, ‘Dholida' and other popular Bollywood songs of the year

As we all know, Bollywood and music thrive together. From romantic melodies to energetic dance numbers, this year we had some remarkable songs that went on to create waves across the country.

Let’s take a look at some popular Hindi songs of 2022:

‘Kesariya’ from ‘Brahmastra’
The teaser for ‘Kesariya’ was released by the ‘Brahmastra team’ a few hours before Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor tied the knot on April 14, 2022, and we were hooked on the two lines of the song. The full song was released in July and it became an instant chartbuster.
‘Kesariya’ is crooned by Arijit Singh and composed by Pritam. The lyrics have been penned by Amitabh Bhattacharya.

‘Doobey’ from ‘Gehraiyaan’
The song had us happily drowning in its tune and Deepika Padukone and Siddhant Chaturvedi’s chemistry was remarkable onscreen.
The song has been written by Kausar Munir and sung by Lothika Jha.

‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2’ title track
This is Tanishk Bagchi’s recreation of the original 2007 song featuring Akshay Kumar. Kartik Aaryan’s aka Rooh Baba’s swag and dance moves won the hearts of the audience. Sung by Neeraj Shridhar, and music recreated by Tanishk Bagchi, the song showcased a new hook step done by the actor.

‘Rangi Saari’ from ‘Jug Jug Jeeyo’
Featuring Varun Dhawan and Kiara Advani, this dance number shows the actors romancing each other with colours flying around. The song is a rendition of late classical vocalist Shobha Gurtu’s popular thumri ‘Rangi Saari’. The song has been sung by Kavita Seth and Kansihk Seth.

‘Dholida’ from ‘Gangubai Kathaiwadi’
Alia Bhatt was flawless in this Garba chartbuster from Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s film. She was seen in a total boss lady avatar in this foot-tapping number which has been sung by Janhvi Shrimankar and Shail Hada. The lyrics have been written by Kumar.

‘Naacho Naacho’ from ‘RRR’
Ram Charan and Jr NTR showed off their dancing skills in this song which is Vishal Mishra and Rahul Sipligunj's Hindi rendition. It had everyone grooving to the energetic beats.
