Bollywood calendar 2022: 'Ram Setu', 'Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2', 'MayDay' get release dates

As theatres reopen across India, release dates of several upcoming big budget Bollywood movies have been announced.

Adipurush Release Date

'Adipurush' starring Prabhas and Saif Ali Khan, will release on August 11, 2022. The film is a retelling of Ramayana and will see Prabhas as Rama while Saif plays the Raavana. Kriti has been roped in to play Sita and Sunny is Laxman.

But guess what? It will clash with Akshay Kumar and Bhumi Pednekar's film 'Raksha Bandhan', which is banking on the Independence Day long weekend next year.

Ram Setu Release Date

Akshay Kumar's 'Ram Setu' will release on Diwali next year. Directed by Abhishek Sharma, 'Ram Setu' also stars Jacqueline Fernandez and Nushratt Bharuccha.

Billed as an action-adventure, 'Ram Setu' revolves around the mythical bridge that the Lord Ram is supposed to have built between ancient India and Sri Lanka in order to rescue his wife Sita from Ravana.

Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 Release Date

Anees Bazmee’s directorial venture, 'Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2' which stars Kartik Aaryan, Tabu and Kiara Advani in pivotal roles is scheduled to release on March 25, 2022. The horror-comedy is the sequel to the 2007 film, Bhool Bhulaiyaa, starring Akshay Kumar, Vidya Balan and Shiney Ahuja.

Mayday Release Date

This will be followed by Ajay Devgn, Rakul Preet Singh and Amitabh Bachchan-starrer 'MayDay', which will hit the theatres on April 29 next year. Big B plays a lawyer in the film, while Ajay Devgn will be seen in a pilot avatar.
