Anurag Kashyap responds to Divya Agarwal's open letter asking for work

Filmmaker Anurag Kashyap has responded to actor Divya Agarwal’s public request on Instagram asking him for work. Agarwal on March 15 had posted a video on Instagram saying that she wants to work with Kashyap and feels no shame in asking for an audition on a public platform.

The video was captioned, ‘This is an open letter to @anuragkashyap10 (with heart emoji) Call me stupid I’m going to say it anyway ! Kaam Mangungi sabke saamne mujhe koi sharam nahi ! #hopeful #grateful.” In the video, she said, “I want to do the kind of work that you do.’

The actor in an interview to India Today revealed that the filmmaker had replied to her saying he is humbled by her video message and will reach out to her for future projects. Divya said that his text read, ‘Humbled by this. Will reach out for future projects.'

In the video, Divya said she has worked for 15 years in the industry, and has been getting work but now she wants to work with Anurag Kashyap as she finds him ‘relatable.’

She said, ‘I have attended a number of workshops by Anurag Kashyap in Prithvi theatre. He has many stories of his own career. There are stories where he has gathered people in a room and said, ‘chal film banate hai.’ That part of him is so relatable.’
