Alka Yagnik becomes most streamed artist on YouTube; beats BTS, Taylor Swift and Blackpink

Alka Yagnik is one of the most popular and finest singers in Bollywood and now according to Guinness World Book Records, she was the most streamed artist on YouTube globally in 2022.

The singer had 15.3 billion YouTube streams last year, and an average of 42 million per day. She has surpassed the Puerto Rico rapper and singer Bad Bunny, who got 14.7 billion streams. The list also says that the Indian singer was the most streamed artist on YouTube and she had 17.7 billion streams in 2021 and 16.6 billion in 2020. According to ChartMasters, almost 25 per cent of the Youtube users are from India.

Artists that made it to the top five include Udit Narayan at 10.8 billion, Arijit Singh at 10.7 billion, and Kumar Sanu at 9.09 billion.

While the K-Pop band, BTS received 7.95 billion streams and the South Korean girl group BLACKPINK got 7.03 billion.

Alka Yagnik, in a career spanning more than four decades, has won various awards for her beautiful singing.
