Agastya Nanda bags Sriram Raghavan's 'Ekkis'; to play the lead role

Agastya Nanda’ made his acting debut with ‘The Archies’ that released on December 7 and now the actor has bagged a Sriram Raghavan directorial for January 2024.

Sriram Raghavan is currently busy with the shooting of ‘Merry Christmas’. He will soon start shooting for ‘Ekkis’ with debutante Agastya. The film is a biopic on 1971 war hero, Arun Khetarpal. ‘The Archies’ actor will play the lead role in the film. Veteran actor Dharmendra will also be seen in the movie in a key role.

India Today quoted a source saying, "December and the first half of January will be spent by Agastya in reading the script and also doing some workshops to rehearse for the schedule ahead. Sriram wanted a young actor to play the part of Arun Khetarpal and feels that Agastya fits the role like a hand in a glove. After months of prep, Sriram and Agastya are now all set to commence the journey of bringing the heroic tale to the big screen."

‘The Archies’ premiered on Netflix on December 7. The Zoya Akhtar directorial also stars Suhana Khan, Khushi Kapoor, Vedang Raina, Dot and Mihir Ahuja, among others in significant roles.
